WELCOME TO LIFE CHANGING

The congregation at Life Changing Church extends an invitation to you to worship with us. We are excited to share our services and ministries as we strive to stir up your soul by preaching and living the Word of God. Each Sunday morning, Worship Service is held at 10:00. On Wednesday, weekly Worship Service (Bible Study) is held at 7:00 p.m. Our Children's Church is in worship at the same hour as the adults next door at the Bryce Chapel, 4615 Langdon Street. While inviting the Holy Spirit to govern our worship services, it is our desire to share the simple gospel in approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Yes, 1:15! 

To date, the Life Changing Church multi-racial family has lead over a thousand souls to Christ. The church owns the adjacent properties: 4615 Langdon Street and 4625 Langdon Street. We pray that in the year 2025, we will purchase a Life (multi-purpose) Center to address the needs of Life Changers and the community we live and serve.

Life Changing Church (LCC) is a means to foster Christian growth and development to the people we serve in our church and community. We will provide leadership in improving the quality of life through the teaching of God's Word, evangelizing the lost and offering encouragement to all of God's people. As we reach out in love to mankind, we are dedicated to the Great Commission to “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matt 28:19-20)

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is indeed a blessing when Christian friends can gather together to praise the Lord. We give glory, honor, and total praise to him for leading us thus far, allowing us to be faithful stewards of his word and works. LCC strives to support the Christian community dedicated to living the purposes and principles the way Christ taught us. As individuals in our Church community, we covenant to care for each other with love, mutual respect, generosity, patience and compassion. As a Church, we strive to work together to do God's Will, His Way; and to commit our time, energy, work, and resources to the achievement of our shared purposes. As a church family, we minister to the whole family by promoting the worth and dignity of each person in our diverse community. We encourage and support spiritual growth; provide guidance and learning experiences for children and adults; seek out and welcome those who might want to unite with the universal church; and support peace, social justice, and sound environmental practices.

OUR PURPOSE

Life Changing Church strives to support the Christian community dedicated to living the purposes and principles the way Christ taught us. As a church, we strive to work together to do God’s Will, His Way; and to commit our time, energy, work, and resources to the achievement of our shared purposes.
 

LCC is extremely committed to sharing Christ's love by ministering to people who may be in the following situations:
 

  • Homebound and/or alone
 • Hospitalized or terminally ill
 • Experiencing major adjustments to career changes, finances, etc.
 • Residents of long term facilities
 • Experiencing absence of family due to death, school, or military
 • Single parenting. As a church family, we minister to the whole family by promoting the worth and dignity of each person in our diverse community.

We encourage and support spiritual growth; provide guidance and learning experiences for children and adults; seek out and welcome those who might want to unite with the universal church; and support peace, social justice, and sound environmental practices.

Life Changing Church had its inception through the vision of Bishop Tony Banks being lead by the Spirit of God. The vision provided a platform for full-gospel teaching, preaching and ministries. The church's slogan is "An Alternative to the Traditional". LCC opened its doors August 2004 at 9 a.m at the Prince Hall Masonic Temple 816 8th Ave Columbus Ga. Assisting Bishop Tony Banks were officers: Minister Yolonda Phillips; Deacons Bryan Bevley and Tommy Downer. Deaconess Kimberly Banks, Sharon Cox-Bevley, Stephanie Harris, and Faye Taylor. Other Life Changing Partners included: Pat Bush, Vanessa Downer, Gregory Harris, James Hawes, Vernia Hawes, Audrey McQueen and Carolyn Twyman. In addition to said names, numerous others worshiped with us on that day. On Tuesday at 7 p.m., weekly Bible Study was instituted. A few weeks after our first service, the choir was formed and other ministries soon followed. A loving family atmosphere is an everyday practice that reaches beyond the members and extends to all who worship with us.
 

After being organized as a church for only eleven months, God blessed and enabled us to purchase our Church building located at 4605 Langdon Street, Columbus, GA. For this monumental blessing we give God all the praise! We are grateful for our new location and are positioned to do greater works for the Lord. We are excited as we witness spiritual growth in the lives of our members and our outreach ministries. All are invited to worship with us as we follow the mission of the church, and the great commission as stated in Matthew 28:19. "Go ye therefore and teach all nations..."
 

As we embrace our promising future, Life Changing inspires to become a model for developing the total person through spiritual leadership. We will create an environment grounded in teaching God's word to increase biblical knowledge with an exceptional dedication to serving the church and society-a journey of faith!
